INTRODUCTION

INTERN TRUTH OR FASHION is the second book of Chloe Walsh.  It is a story about Four girls who had their internship in a Fashion Magazine which is cuture and the people in cuture will find out about their little secrets and their talents at the same time.

This will open the eyes of teen-agers now-a-days who  wanted to be independent and be known to the world.  Its all about truth not just to others but to yourselves as well, it tells about friendship, honesty and loyalty, relationships and Fashion.

Characters

Nadine – an intern with a potential being a photography

Callie – an intern who was accused stealing silkscreen and designing a bag out of them.

Ava – an intern and a spy who fake her educational record to get her internship at cuture to continue her spying.

Ansley – the most fashionable intern in cuture, who is also the fashionista

Isabel – the owner of cuture of who believe in the four girls talents

Julian – brother of Ansley who slept with Callie

Quinn – the owner of the silk screen

Daniel – editor in style magazine who hires ava to be a spy

CHAPTER 1

ALL OUT FASHION WAR

Callie Ryan was contacted by the owner of the silkscreen that she bought and made into a bag where Cuture magazine owners set eyes into.  She was troubled on what to do about the issue whether to tell kiki and Isabel about Quinn the owner of the silkscreen.

Ava turns out to be Callie’s best friend knows about the story of the silk screen but haven’t burted it out to anyone.

They were given assignments on the next issued of cuture and they were partnered.  Ava was partnered to Nadine who were in the first place a good eye catcher of new fashions.  Nadine on the other hand had something a feeling for a photographer Sam.

CHAPTER 2

KMART MEETS JIMMY CHOO

The owner of cuture conducted a meeting and decided to made them different team to put up a new theme for cuture.  In this project they will investigate new fashion high end fashions of the rich and famous and also the low class level.

They intend to justify their next issue, and in this level the interns were intense to win the all-out war for the space in cuture magazine as their expose in the rich and famous fashion industry.

CHAPTER 3

OFFICE BITCH

Ansley had a brother named Julian who had a relationship with Callie with no strings attached.  Ansley was Callie’s partner and she threaten her about the high school facts that she wrote on her biodata  and because Callie wrote a high class high school instead of her plain public high school she was threatened by Ansley to do the work for her in their report.

CHAPTER 4

TABULA RASA

On this chapter Ava was focused.  She is a writer fashionista and a good eye catching female for laters fashions that can hit the industry.  This night Ava and Callie had a dinner before Callie meet Julian.  Callie told Ava about the silk screen and she was worried sick on how to get on fashion industry if cuture would know about this issue.

Ava wanted to tell about her relationship to a married man but right now all she could think of what Callie will tell her about it so she didn’t blab about the issue.

CHAPTER 5

STRIP POKER – MINUS THE POKER

Callie met Julian and decided to sleep with him.   They had fun in the club by dancing salsa and decided to come home on Julian’s.

Callie was so attached to Julian and the world doesn’t matter anyhow this time of the night.  She wouldn’t even think of right and wrong moves of a guy or a lady like her.

They drunk and ate and decided to have sex inside Julian’s room,

CHAPTER 6

CHARITY CASE

Ansley on this part of the night was very annoyed of what happened to her at the Key.  She was exclusively invited to this party that famous people were tag into.  When they entered the Key with Ava she realized it is a boring party and decided to come home.

When she was home she found Julian and Callie on the bedroom maybe its after they had sex.  She insulted Callie on Jullian and lead her way out.

She was very disappointed on her brother who only wants to rule all her girlfriends who are pretty and sexy.

She was so affected on Callie and Jullian having an affair.

CHAPTER 7

BREAKFAST AT TIFFANY’S COCKTAILS AND BERGDORFS

Ava meets Daniel.  After shooting for her aimed report for cuture, Ava decided to tour around and meets Daniel.  Daniel is her lover a married rich and famous man in New York.

Daniel told Ava that he can MAKE her or Destroy her if she insist on putting an end in their relationship.

Ava explained to Daniel that what they are doing was wrong, but she cannot force herself into loving a married man and who she is having an affair with.

At the end Ava was threatened by Daniel and decided to meet him again for their special affair.

CHAPTER 8

THE BRONX KICKS ASS

Nadine had her day with Sam the official photographer of Cuture.  And she was observed with a good eye in catching what she wants.

Nadine confronted Sam about the nice things he had done for her and asked him is he is asking for anything in return.

In the end Nadine felt sorry for herself on what she is thinking of Sam and asked an apology on how green and madly she thinks.

Nadine saw Ava with a guy and she just like a paparazzi shot some photos of Ava and the guy and their kiss.  She put down her camera and head away to cuture.

CHAPTER 9

YOUR LAST DYING WISH

This day was not so good for Callie.  She was given an appointment with Kiki and Quinn.  She was suspended by the time they talk about the silk screen and she was sure she cannot go on in cuture anymore because of Quinn taking his silkscreen as his.  Patent mark should be given to Quinn and should be mentioned at all in cuture but Callie had all the recognition.

Kiki decided to suspend Callie about the issue and talked to Quinn about his silk screen.

CHAPTER 10

PROOF

Nadine was happy on what is happening on their project.  The theme they had though will be the big winner.  And she was shooting the new fashions about hip hop fashion.

She was having this conversation with Sam who have given credits to her work as a photographer.

She was overwhelmed that the shoot was over and that their concept would be a very news in Cuture Magazine and in the fashion industry.

CHAPTER 11

GREEN IS THE NEW BLACK

Ansley was very disappointed that Callie was nowhere to be found.  But she worked for an hour for Callie’s idea about green is the new black.  She justified details about the theme but still Ava and Nadine won.

Nadine and Ava was given a day away in a hotel where they can have all they want and buy clothes and other things that is credited to cuture.

Their winning bling bling and hip hop themes will be a big break for cuture in the fashion industry.

CHAPTER 12

HOW FAR THE FASHIONABLE WAS OVER

Callie was lonesome in her apartment.  She doesn’t want to eat and skip breakfast and lunch, she doents want to talk to anybody at first but now cuture is calling and its ava.  She told ava about what kiki had decided

Ava told Callie that they won the project and that they are sent to hotel accommodation and free shoppings.  But she told her that Ansley was coming with Nadine because had an appointment on her Doctor.  Where Ava would just meet Daniel because of her anticipation on letting him go.

Callie applied for a waitress position even though she was just suspended from cuture.  She cannot think of anything else to do if the credit card statement would come.  She cannot pay it without work.

CHAPTER 13

THE SURREAL LIFE

Nadine and Ansley were on Pierre Hotel and Nadine was very amazed on the hotel’s give away and the place where so many celebrities were gathering or even resting.

Ansley was bored to death but decided to go on with Nadine.  She was amazed on how they are threatened by so many things they do not expect from Pierred hotel and cuture to do these things they are not capable of.

CHAPTER 14

THE SCENE OF THE CRIME

Ava was message by Nadine and told her about the  incident.   She went to Callie at Roots and talked about Callie’s status in Cuture.  Callie was frustrated that she was really fired in cuture and those silkscreen that she did into bag are the main suspect. She was far beyond.  In the bar (ROOTS) Ava meets Reese who she was paired with on the same bar they first met.

CHAPTER 15

SCAVENGERS

Callie decided to talk to Jullian about the whole truth on her.  She wanted to share her feeling to her new found boyfriend.  But she was wrong that Jullian wanted a string attach and reject all her confessions.  After confessing to jullian she found out that Ansley was listening and that they made up by talking to each other about those lies that they had to themselves and to cuture.

Ansley even told callie that her tears are not worth for jullian and she can find someone else worth for her.

They became friends again and nonetheless they became real close about the confession they both had to each other.

CHAPTER 16

LITTLE MISS NOBODY

Nadine was mentioned in Fashionista blog and felt the world was over for her in cuture.  Ava talk to her about her being a spy in cuture for syle.  And that affair that she is having with Daniel is not really an affair but she is working for both magazine as a spy for style.

They plan a getback event for Daniel and style and to put up what Ava had taken to cuture.

CHAPTER 17

LIKE ATRUE NEW YORKER

Callie had a meeting with Quinn the silkscreen maker and Quinn agreed to share half of what they will sold on the bags that Callie made out of Quinns silk screen.  She had no idea that the bags she made was sold out and that she would be having enough money to pay her debts in her credit card.

She was thankful for Quinn in understanding and she received an urgent text telling her to come to cuture office as soon as possible.

CHAPTER 18

E TRUE FASHION STORY

There is an emergency meeting at Cuture and the owner Kiki showed them about Ava and her story in Time magazine in front cover about her being a spy for style in cuture.  Callie was also mentioned being in the New York Magazine because of her bags. But the main topic is about Ava being a spy for style in cuture.  She had made her breakeven for Daniel and Style and had put cuture in line and high the fashion industry.

CHAPTER 19

INNER BITCH

Ansley was a very secretive person at all but she insist to tell Callie that she was the Fashionista.  The blogger who gets very famous in the fashion world.

She received credits all over the fashion industry because of her blog.  And she even saved Ava Nadine and Callie from their internship.

A new bestfriend was found for Callie and Ansley. 

CHAPTER 20

A SORT OF SORCERY

Nadine and Sam had an outbreak on Ansley’s party.  Nadine, Ava Callie and Ansley were having a good time that night.  It was a celebration for all that Ansley threw out the best party in the fashion world in their own house.

Nadine and Sam confessed on each other feelings and that they had began a new relationship.  The fashion intern and the  photographer.

CHAPTER 21

BLINDED BY THE GLAM

Ava wrote an email to Reese.  She was really a virgin after all and the thing they had with Daniel wasn’t worth it at all.

She had to make the move to apologize to Reese about her past behavior and that she knows he can understand after reading the time magazine on her cover.

Ava and Callie shared their dream about being famous in the fashion world and how they wish it is written in their future.

CHAPTER 22

 BEWARE OF WELL-DRESSED POND SCUM

Callie had attended a party with Ansley and bumped into Jullian.  She called him a pond scum and she said that she wouldn’t want to have anything anymore with him.

Isabel the owner of Cuture talked to Ansley about her being the Fashionista.  And that she wanted her blog to be added to Cutures website and hired her being a blogger to rule the world and write about it.  She believes that Ansley is a great writer and can cover up the world and spread the news about the places and the fashions.  Callie and Ansley were so glad about being the anonymous fashionista.  Callie didn’t say a word to anybody about Ansley and her famous blog.

CHAPTER 23

TRUTH AND FASHION

Sam and Nadine had a great night and they had started their relationship and turn it to a beautiful evening with the two of them.

Ansley was very happy for her friends and what she was also receiving as the blogger where almost all the rich and famous are subscribed.

They had all their wines up and cheers for Truth and Fashion.  Ava, Nadine, Callie and Ansley the interns of cuture who made it to the fashion world.

POINT OF VIEW

The main point of view of the story for me is all about telling the truth about yourself.  And thus, we should not leave behind every important details that we have to tell the person who trusted us.  This novel also tell the readers about criticizing people on the way they behave towards us.  We cannot tell a real friend from  fake ones. 

There is no secret that cannot be revealed and also friendship is like trusting someone your life with.

REVIEW

The novel is boring in the first few chapters, but is was okay when I reached the chapter 6 where Ansley and Callie have bump into each other in Rothwells house where Ansley and her brother Jullian lives.  I thought there could never build a good friendship from that chapter on but when I read and read, Ansley supposed to be Callie’s best friend at the end.  They told each other secrets and kept it by themselves, they have been bonded by circumstances and trials and build a strong relationship with trust and unity.

CONCLUSIONS

The book is all about teenage life and their willingness to fulfill their dreams, there are moves that can make or break you but at the end the people who we turn into are the ones we can trust our lives with.  Callie, Ava, Ansley and Nadine made is through thick or thin.  They have renewed the fashion world of cuture by giving all out their best and contributing to the fashion world of their critical themes and imagination.

Overall the novel is not that boring at all I cannot wait to read the other books that Chloe Walsh wrote, where I found that she understand the behavior of some teenagers nowadays, she is a very smart writer to come up with this kind of novel where we can encountered these four interns around us or maybe one of them was us, real life is seen in the novel and the overall flow is good fast story with commonsense. The book is great and it added a bit spice for my teenage life.
